The Embark Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of our clients.

with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act(PIPEDA) and applicable laws of Ontario, Canada.

This policy also outlines how information is handled through our use of the MarianaTek platform.

We collect personal information to deliver services, manage our studio, and improve your experience. Information may be collected directly or through MarianaTek, which we use for scheduling, payment processing, and customer relationship management.

When you create an account, register for classes, purchase services, or contact us, we may collect:
Full name
Email address
Phone number
Mailing address
Emergency contact information
Date of birth
Medical or health conditions relevant to your practice(e.g., injuries, pregnancy)
Preferences for communication and services Payment information (via Marianatek’s secure platform) 

b. Automatically Collected Data (via Website or MarianaTekApp)
IP address
Device and browser information Session duration and location data (if location services are enabled) Site or app usage activity (class sign-ups, visit history)  

2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Register and manage your client account
Schedule classes, workshops, and private sessions
Send appointment reminders, confirmations, marketing material, and updates
Process payments and issue receipts
Provide personalized recommendations and wellness support
Administer loyalty programs or promotions
Comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax reporting, public health requirements) 
We may also use aggregate (non-identifiable) data to improve our services and operations. 

3. Use of Mariana Tek
We use MarianaTek, a third-party platform, for the following services:
Class scheduling and booking
Account creation and management
Secure payment processing
Communication (e.g., email and SMS reminders)
Client activity tracking
Point-of-sale (POS) transactions 

MarianaTek is a U.S.-based company and stores data on servers located outside Canada. While MarianaTek complies with international privacy standards and implements strong security measures, your information maybe subject to foreign laws when stored or processed outside Canada.  

4. Consent
By using our services or providing personal information, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

5. Disclosure of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information to:
MarianaTek  (as our service provider)
Government authorities, where required by law
Health or legal professionals in case of an emergency  
Other third parties with your explicit consent (e.g., marketing collaborations)

All third parties are required to protect your information in compliance with applicable laws.

6. Data Security
We take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.
This includes:
SSL encryption for data transmission
Secure password protocols
Access controls within MarianaTek Staff confidentiality agreements and training
However, no data transmission over the Internet is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

7. Retention of Information
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by law(e.g., financial or health records).If you wish to delete or deactivate your MarianaTek account, please contact us or do so through the platform directly.

Request deletion of your data (where permitted bylaw) To make such requests, contact us in writing (see section 11below).

9. Children’s Privacy
Our services are intended for individuals aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children without parental consent.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on our website with the effective date. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-studio notices.
